Why does a Rooster Crow?

CDD3B739-9F25-493A-B164-C7470C461EFAWhy does a rooster crow? There are a number of stimuli that cause a rooster to crow, but apparently it usually represents times when he is claiming his territory or responding to danger. Sometimes I “crow” when there are potentially dangerous scenarios, but often, I am rebuked for such. Somehow I wonder if other chickens/animals are also feeling threatened by the rooster’s crow. Mr. Rooster, keep crowing—I respect your sound judgment.
