Ice Cream

CC336E96-047C-473E-B77A-B246F9318F37Ice cream probably originated in the 5th century BC when ancient Greeks ate snow mixed with honey and fruit in the markets of Athens. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, encouraged his Ancient Greek patients to eat ice “as it livens the life-juices and increases the well-being.” Over the years, ice cream has evolved in many ways with so many different flavors and recipes.  In the US, we produce nearly a billion gallons of ice cream each year. I definitely eat my share and wonder sometimes if I even have a limit to how much I can eat—so yummy!
