Guardian Angel

A guardian angel is an angel that is assigned to protect and guide a particular person.  The Bible mentions angels multiple times who protect us.  As a Christian, I believe The Holy Spirit is always with me so my “Guardian Angel” lives in me.  There have been many times when I barely avoided tragedy and felt His Divine intervention personally.  Just this week, a car that was in the lane next to me suddenly turned toward my side; and miraculously,  I steered away, barely avoiding a collision.  One can argue that it was my peripheral vision automatically sending signals to my brain that reflexly caused me to turn in time.  But once in Louisville, a gentle tap on my shoulder from an “invisible source” alerted my attention to a speeding truck that would have otherwise crushed me.  Some things cannot be explained scientifically.  Do you believe in Guardian Angels?

“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

Angels
An angel is a supernatural being described in various religions and mythologies. In some religions, angels are depicted as benevolent celestial beings who are intermediaries between Heaven and humanity. As humans, we rarely see angels as far as we know, but some suggest there are angels all around us. I believe the latter, because I have sensed angels in my life at times when certain unexpected outcomes result from otherwise inexplicable reasons.

Bluebird of Happiness

The Iroquois tradition says that they ward off the icy power of Sawiskera, the spirit of winter. They were originally coined the “bluebird of happiness” by Maurice Maeterlinck in his 1908 play. Even modern songwriters have portrayed bluebirds as muses. Some believe they bring messages from angels and the spirit world. Whatever the case, they are beautiful and like many things in nature, bring joy to our hearts. Don’t forget to celebrate National Bluebird of Happiness Day on September 24!
