The Spirit

The Spirit

Today we were reminded of the power of The Spirit who is always with us. God’s promise to us was that He would send The Spirit to be with us as long as we have Faith. Fear is indeed a liar and comes from the enemy and our world tends to use fear to keep us from living according to our God given identity. It is The Spirit that guides us and comforts us and allows us to prevail. I know I am so thankful for the blessings afforded me through an All Loving Spirit. No question I would fail miserably every day otherwise. I encourage everyone to allow the power of The Spirit to direct them.

Disappointment

Disappointment

Disappointment is defined as the sadness caused by the nonfulfillment of one’s expectations. When we measure by worldly standards, we are disappointed everyday. Today I was disappointed many times. It started with expecting someone to do his job in a timely fashion for the sake of patients. Unfortunately he chose to do the minimum that would not break his contractual obligations. Patients and staff bore the burden. Then someone else interfered with my care of a patient by literally practicing medicine without a license. Instead of being commended for calling them out on their behaviors, I received negative feedback for expecting too much. Wow, I already have my own self worth issues and this kind of nonsense only feeds that lie. Thankfully I know that these events are part of the enemy’s lies and I hold on to the one true Hope.
