During President Bush’s funeral today, the word honorable came to mind and seemed to sum up this man’s character. He was a member of the great generation and leaves us with great respect and admiration.
In contrast, I recall a recent court experience where the judge was called honorable, but the synonyms listed above certainly did not apply. This judge accepted the position of honor, but failed to assume the responsibilities of fulfilling that expectation. In a nutshell, that summarizes most of our society’s problems.

S’more Love

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Our world truly needs more love, so that we all help each other to be the best we can be. Our struggles often stem from our self-centeredness—protecting ourselves at the expense of others.
