“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV
End of Time
In my teenage years, I had this recurrent dream of the end of time. It vividly captured the moment of Christ’s return as I collapsed to my knees. My dream accurately depicted Biblical verses that I had yet to read and understand, but somehow subconsciously I knew. Last night, the above Bible verses seemed to beckon me from someone’s Facebook page to pause and take notice. This morning, some crazed man kept tailgating me on the highway and flashing his bright lights and passing while using obscene gestures and then slowing down in front of me, and repeating the cycle until I called 911 and got state trooper assistance. I cannot help but think that the end of time is upon us, as I consider how our society has embraced so much evil.
