Gratitude for Life

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭17:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There have been functional MRI studies that show that positive thinking can lead to “rewiring” in the brain that accounts for better moods.  It is truly amazing that we do have this control of ourselves.  I know that our society casts many unpleasant circumstances upon us, but the way we handle these challenges affects our well being; so, it is wise to count our blessings and express gratitude for them—it keeps us healthy!

Temptation

‭‭James‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭GNT‬‬

Temptation is the desire to engage in short-term urges for pleasure that may threaten long-term goals. In some religions, temptation is the inclination to sin. This desire may result from coaxing someone into committing such an act, by manipulation.
Everyday I am tempted by something and often I succumb to the urge and often it leaves me feeling empty and sad. To me, this is life’s greatest struggle. Intellectually I know the right answer, but sometimes my spirit becomes self centered and forgets to stay aligned with The Spirit.
