Valentine’s Day is celebrated annually on February 14.  Saint Valentine was either a priest or a bishop in the Roman Empire who ministered to persecuted Christians.  He was martyred and buried on February 14, 269.  His TRUE sacrificial love has left a legacy—Valentine’s Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romantic love in many regions around the world.

True Love

6AE67444-FCCD-4240-BD1A-572867602493Jesus answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and the most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ The whole Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets depend on these two commandments.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37-40‬ ‭GNT‬‬

True Love

Our Divine calling is to love, but love the sinner, not the sin. Our society calls us to accept the sin, as an act of love; but, that is not the real definition of love. When we truly love someone, we want what is best for them, and that is never sinful behavior. At the risk of being called judgmental, I ask you to ponder the question at hand. Personally, I am so tired of our media attacking people with certain views and yet asking for tolerance.
